August 2010
August saw Susie Barron-Stubley leading a two day conference in Sun City in South Africa, alongside Robin Banks, a leading motivational speaker from Cape Town. With over 240 delegates from across South Africa and a fabulous gala dinner, it was an incredible experience. The conference was run just a few weeks after the close of the World Cup and the atmosphere and momentum generated from such a successful World Cup carried over into the conference, with PAs and Office Professionals ready to take their new experiences back into the workplace.

March 2009 - Survey Results
What is the one thing you would change about your Boss and Why?
We had a lot of fun reading through all of the responses we had to our survey that we ran in conjunction with
PA-Assist.com. Thank you to all those that responded! In the end we couldn’t narrow the winner down to just one, so we picked two lucky PAs have received our gorgeous silver desk set and boy do we think they deserve them! Here where are the winning replies who remain anonymous to protect the guilty!
"I was unfortunate enough to have a boss who had a regular routine of taking off his shoes and socks and cutting his toe nails with his office scissors! He thought nothing of doing this during meetings with his team!!"
"My boss had a bowel problem and would spend quite a while in the en suite bathroom in his office. He usually took the phone into the bathroom with him, but if an urgent telephone call came and he hadn't taken the phone with him I had to knock on the door and let him know there was an urgent call. Not a pleasant experience!!!!"
Doesn’t it make you grateful!! ![]()

January 2009 - Academic research into how PAs and bosses work together
We are delighted to be assisting the University of Glasgow in some ground breaking academic research into the dynamics between PAs and their bosses. The project is investigating the impact of a PA's motivation upon their bosses motivation. The research is investigating what makes for a productive relationship at work and the research team would like your input. This means completing two short on-line questionnaires (5 minutes and 10 minutes) you will then be sent a detailed professional development report about yourself based on a leading-edge personality test. If you can persuade your boss to complete similar questionnaires, we will also provide them with a report about themselves. When the research is complete we will provide a summary of the research for you both. Click here for the questionnaire for PAs.
